To compliment Henny Donovan's original designer stencils, Henny has put together a range of stunning decorative paints - in all the colours you will need to produce beautiful results - exclusive to this website.

The Motif Decorative Paint Range is a diverse, extensive range of waterbased paint products. The stencil projects illustrated throughout the site show our paint products in action and you will find time-saving links directing you to the relevant colours and paints, so you can recreate the colour schemes we have used. Our Paint Products include 75 Stencil Paint colours, 23 Fabric Paint colours, 7 Glitter Stencil Paint colours, 11 Metallic Stencil Paint colours and 5 Interference Paint colours.  Also available Universal Tinters for colouring paints and mediums and Waterbased Acrylic Varnishes, in Matt, Eggshell (satin) and Gloss finishes, including Pearl Shimmer Varnish and Acrylic Scumble Glaze for water-based paint effects.

About Henny Donovan Motif

Motif has been established to showcase and sell the range of exciting up to date stencils from artist, designer and author Henny Donovan. Henny's reputation as the most contemporary stencil designer has grown rapidly - "one of the most fashionable collections around is Motif" - says the Mail on Sunday. Henny's innovation in stencil design has done much to dispell the bad rep of 80's stencils, and her break-through signature range of oversize designs has brought the decorative possibilities of stencilling firmly into 21st century living and design.  The Motif website is the only outlet to purchase Henny's original stencils and stencil paints.

Stencil Paints

These paints are ideal on their own, or make perfect base colours for Metallic Stencil Paints and Glitter Stencil Paints. The Stencil Paints can also be used on fabric, but for a really permanent finish use our Fabric Paints. Fabric Paints

24 vibrant shades, specifically designed for stencilling and hand painting onto fabric. This paint is perfect for stencilling fabric for curtains, blinds, cushion covers, tablecloths - or T-shirts and jeans and more, giving a fully washable finish.

Metallic Stencil Paints

Our Metallic Stencil Paints will give a lustre and sheen to all stencilling projects. Used on their own they create a subtle, reflective finish, or when used over our Stencil Paints give a deep, rich lustrous effect.

Metallic Interference Paints

Our selection of modern Metallic Interference Paint shades give a two-tone effect metallic paints in five beautiful colourways.

Glitter Stencil Paints

Great crystal colours that really sparkle and shine in turquoise, rose, lilac, gold and more. Glitter Stencil Paints are particularly appropriate for festive decorating projects, but are equally effective for projects where you want to achieve a real metallic finish, as applied densely they have a deep lustre with a highly reflective finish.

Universal Tinters

A useful addition to the stenciller's paint box, Universal Tinters are a highly concentrated water-based colouring agent. They are great for adjusting existing stencil colours to exact project requirements or for creating new colours with paint, varnishes, glazes and other decorative mediums. They can be used to colour both water-based and oil-based products.

Acrylic Varnishes and Mediums

Non-yellowing, water-based acrylic varnishes are ideal for sealing and protecting stencilled areas or matt emulsion on walls. Acrylic Varnishes come in Matt, Eggshell (Satin) and Gloss finishes and can be applied over all water-based (latex) and acrylic paints. Also try Pearl Shimmer Varnish, a pearlescent, metallic over-varnish and slow-set Acrylic Scumble Glaze for waterbased paint effects.

Motif deliveries - Changes to shipping days in March

Motif despatches will take place on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays weekly until Friday 12th March 2010. In the last two weeks of March there will be a despatch on Friday 19th March and Friday 26th March due to staffing changes and a stencil business trip by Henny to New York during this time. Our personalized email confirmation service will also follow the same pattern. Normal deliveries will resume on Monday 29th March 2010. Apologies if we cannot help with those last minute, rushed orders in this time!

Delivery times

UK orders arrive 1- 2 working days after despatch, Europe 3 - 7 days and USA and rest of world 7 - 10 business days after despatch. Individual confirmation of despatch date is emailed to customers Mon-Fri - this is not an automated reply, as we prefer to email customers personally to confirm exact despatch dates and any other relevant information specific to your order. Orders received before 12pm UK time on day of despatch will go out that day, orders received after that time will go out in the next despatch.

When you shop with Motif online your order will be processed in complete safety through our secure payment page. Our shopping cart works out shipping to all worldwide and UK destinations. Prices are in UK pounds sterling and there are currency converter links to check dollar conversions etc throughout the site. 

Postage and shipping - is calculated on the weight of the item/s that you buy as well as the delivery destination - see our Information and Enquiries page for a breakdown of weight categories and costs. Orders are carefully packed for safe delivery to all destinations. Larger orders of paints, equipment and books are individually packed for safe and best transportation to all destinations.
