The Meadowsweet Theme Pack Stencil © is a stunning new addition to our Wild Botanical stencil collection. Inspired by the abundant swathes of meadowsweet growing profusely along country lanes, river and canal banks and meadows of the Brecon Beacons countryside. Meadowsweet (Filipendula ulmaria), also known as queen of the meadow or mead wort, displays frothy clusters of cream flowers, standing tall above verdant foliage. Used throughout the centuries for herbal remedies, as a strewing herb because of its sweet smell, and forming the basis of today's modern drug aspirin, this is a truly versatile plant. We often grab a handful of new leaves to make a perfect herbal brew, brilliant for soothing aches and pains!

Handy Tips
This botanical beauty makes a welcome addition to our 'Wild Botanicals of the Brecon Beacons' range and works brilliantly with our Giant Hogweed, Wild Grass, Buddleia Butterfly Bush- as well as the smaller Small Meadowsweet Stencil. Perfect for fabrics, soft furnishings and walls.
As seen in the image gallery the motifs of the Meadowsweet Theme Pack Stencil can stencilled onto a bedroom wall in Vanilla Stencil Paint, silhouette style on a warm ochre background. Stencil when applied in random horizontal arrangement with additional leaves and stalks will give height and depth to the foliage. Working in simple silhouette is an easy and effective way to bring out the beauty of the design, giving unity to the flower and leaf details.
As also shown in the gallery, Meadowsweet Theme Pack Stencil can be stencilled close together in Shoreline Stencil Paint and lightly blushed with Antique Gold Metallic Stencil Paint.
Subtle monochromatic style theme brings out the delicacy of the different motifs of the Meadowsweet Theme Pack Stencil. Arctic Grey and Charcoal Stencil Paint on a graduated soft grey background make for a restful contemporary feel. Bringing different, but slight tonal variations to the background, give greater depth and impact when working silhouette
The Meadowsweet Theme Pack Stencil with the Buddleia Butterfly Bush Stencil creates a scene of natural lushness.
The three motifs of the Meadowsweet Theme Pack Stencil in a close overlapping grouping will give the feeling of abundance as it grows naturally in the hedgerows and meadows. Alternatively you can use the three main motifs of the Meadowsweet Theme Pack Stencil sheet clustered together with the smaller motif in the middle with the larger ones edging it, which allows their thicker foliage to come closer together, without overlapping.
